Functional wellness is a holistic approach to health and well-being that focuses on identifying and addressing the underlying root causes of disease rather than just managing symptoms. If you are experiencing signs of perimenopause or menopause, or you are just feeling like something is 'off', we are here to help! With advanced certifications in endocrinology and functional medicine, our nurse practitioner, Courtney Hilton, will take a deeper dive into the causes of your symptoms. Our goal is hormone harmony!
The Results:
-
Overall improvement in health and well-being
-
Weight management
-
Increased energy levels
-
Enhanced mental clarity and cognitive function
-
Better sleep quality
-
Boosted libido
The Process:
One of our Nurse Practitioners that specialize in endocrinology will consult with you to ensure you are a good candidate for our functional medicine program and answer any questions you may have about the process. We will schedule your in-office blood draw and your initial wellness visit. You will be sent home with an intake assessment and symptoms questionnaire that will need to be completed prior to your next appointment. At your initial visit, we'll review your results together and create your personalized treatment plan.
Treatment plans may include the following:
-
vitamin & mineral supplements
-
lifestyle changes
-
bioidentical hormone replacement therapy
-
Peptide therapy
Follow-up wellness visits will be scheduled every 3-6 months based on your provider's recommendation. All wellness participants receive 10% off all supplements purchased in the office.
The $50 fee is waived when you book a service on the day of your consultation.

Our Nurse Practitioner, Courtney Hilton, completed an advanced endocrine and functional wellness fellowship program in 2022 and holds an advanced certification in peptides. She has helped hundreds of patients feel and look their best by listening to their symptoms and goals, and studying blood work and medical history to create a completely customized and thoughtful treatment plan.
What to know about: Peptides
Peptides are brief sequences of amino acids, essentially tiny proteins that instruct your body to perform certain functions. Your body naturally produces peptides. Therapeutic peptides function by boosting or replicating these natural signaling processes. Various peptides have distinct effects: some aid in healing, others stimulate hormone release, and some enhance sleep or cognitive function.
Peptides can help with:
-
Injury recovery and healing
-
Gut health and inflammation
-
Sleep quality
-
weight-loss
-
Hair growth
-
Sexual health
Peptides aren't a cure-all; they're effective tools when used correctly with the right guidance. We begin by assessing your health goals through detailed blood tests and a clinical evaluation. Not every treatment requires peptides, and the right peptide can vary from person to person. We work with trusted compounding pharmacies, establish appropriate dosing, and track your progress with regular blood work.
We offer several customized peptide 'stacks' including:
The Wolverine Stack:
Combines BPC-157 and TB-500 in one injection for dual-pathway healing. BPC-157 builds blood supply while TB-500 mobilizes repair cells. Accelerates recovery, injury healing, and post-surgical repair.
The Glow Stack:
Combines GHK-CU, BPC-157 and TB-500 targeting skin repair, tissue healing, and recovery in one injection.
The CEO Stack:
Combines SEMAX and SELANK, which improve focus, reduce mental fatigue and enhance memory.
The Metabolic Stack:
Combines TESAMORELIN and MOTS-C, formulated to preserve lean muscle mass while reducing body fat. Can be used in conjunction with GLP-1.
What to know about: BHRT
Hormones act as chemical messengers that control energy levels, body composition, mood, sex drive, bone density, and cardiovascular health. When they are balanced, everything functions well. However, when there are changes due to stress, metabolic shifts, or other influences, the repercussions can be felt in various aspects of life.
Think of it like a thermostat: the brain establishes a target level, the body generates the hormone, and feedback maintains balance. Any interruptions in this loop—whether in the brain or pituitary gland—can cause different results in lab tests. That's why it's important to test multiple markers at once; a comprehensive blood panel gives you a complete picture of all your hormone levels, including testosterone, estrogen, DHEA, thyroid, and cortisol.
Bioidentical hormones match the structure of those naturally produced by your body and are used as a therapeutic option for individuals with low natural hormone levels. Bioidentical hormones are derived from plant sources and processed to match human hormones exactly. Bioidentical hormones can be administered in several ways, including troche, creams, or injections. Your provider will discuss these options with you and recommend the best route for you.
What Our Clients Say
I had been struggling with sleep issues for years, and more recently, weight gain. I really wanted to figure out what was going on with my body, so I met with Courtney, and she was so helpful and knowledgeable! It was so nice to have my blood drawn in the office and meet in person to talk through my results. I felt like she really took the time to understand my symptoms, and explained the recommendations she was making for me. The Grove always provides the best experience, and this was no different!
