The Process:
A consultation is required for this treatment. At the time of your consultation, your provider will assess your skin, review your medical history and ensure you are a good candidate for treatment. Our intention is to provide you with the best results possible! Once your treatment plan is determined, we will review pre and post treatment guidelines, and schedule your appointment.
On the day of your treatment, your face will be cleaned, and topical anesthetic applied. Once numb, the laser treatment will begin. The treatment portion of the appointment may be as short as 10 minutes, or as long as 30 minutes depending on the areas treated. The laser energy is delivered in a grid pattern, creating micro-channels in the skin. This stimulates the body's natural healing process and collagen production, resulting in faster healing and reduced damage. Patients often describe feeling a warm sensation or slight stinging during the procedure, but any discomfort is usually brief. If appropriate, we may use our Glacial® precision cooling system post-treatment.
Downtime typically depends on depth of treatment and will be estimated by your provider, however individual results vary.
Advanced CO2 ablation can be used in conjunction with Cool Peel® settings for a highly tailored treatment.
